  Transfers
For those of you arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, transfers to and from the Self-Service Summit will be arranged for you according to the arrival and departure flight times given in your registration. If you are not able to provide these details at this time, please send the details in an email to sam.salier@ncr.com as soon as you know them.

The hotel is 80km from the airport; the journey time is about 60-70 minutes.

Dress Code
The dress code for the entire Summit is business dress. The Summit Dinner on Thursday 24 May is smart casual and the warm KL climate means that you will probably not need a jacket.

Mobile Phones
The making and receiving of mobile phone calls is not permitted during the main Summit sessions. Please note that, for our overseas speakers, mobile phones are culturally regarded as an unpleasant and negative intrusion. Please avoid embarrassment by switching off your mobile phone or, preferably, leaving it in your hotel room. Thank you. There will be ample time to make and receive calls during session breaks.

About Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia
Malaysia is one of the most pleasant, hassle-free countries to visit in South-East Asia. Several decades of sustained economic growth and political stability have made it one of the most buoyant and wealthy countries in the region. Malaysia has moved towards a pluralist culture based on a vibrant and interesting fusion of Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous cultures and customs.

KL
In 130 years, Kuala Lumpur has grown from nothing to a modern, bustling city of well over a million people. On the surface, KL (as it's almost universally known) may appear to be just another modern Asian city of gleaming skyscrapers, but it retains much of the character and local colour that has disappeared from other Asian-boom cities such as Singapore. It has plenty of colonial buildings in its centre, a vibrant Chinatown with street vendors and night markets, and a bustling Little India.

KL Weather
It's hot and humid in Malaysia all year round, with overnight lows rarely sinking below 20°C (70°F). In May, the average daily temperature in KL is 28°C (83°F) and monthly rainfall is 19.5cm (7.7 inches). It rains on most days.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the Summit floor (Level 2) of the Imperial, KL. During breaks, anyone wishing to smoke should move downstairs to public areas of the hotel.
